Called to Serve

Whoever desires to be great must first become a servant to one another in the body of Christ, which however calls for daily dying to self.  Although the process is by no means easy, it is necessary for growth and development into mature Christians. Loving God, loving and serving His people are foundational principles.
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to give His life in exchange for the many who are held hostage. Matt. 20:28.
Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of Himself. He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of Himself that He had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, He set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, He stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process....He lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death- and the worst kind of death at that- a crucifixion. Philippians 2:5-8
In these times of distress, darkness and every form of evil, there is a call for faithful servants who will rise to the occasion; persevere through every challenge, difficult situation or circumstance.  Continue to trust God, obey and stand firmly on His word; He is more than able to help you finish strong. Through it all, resolve to never give up; never give out; never lose your praise. The Lord be with you. +MEA
